Mad dash from work and I was at Gwithian by 6 pm. No other windsurfers out but loads of kites so it was a bit of a guess as to which sail I should be on. It felt like 4.7 weather from the carpark but that was probably due to the acceleration of the wind up the cliff. Went by the rule of halves in the end, as most of the kites were 10m I went for my 5.2 with the big wave board as the wind was a bit onshore.

Down at the water the wind was a bit lighter and the rip took another 5 kts off that for the first 100m. The onshore conditions and small surf made for a bump and jump session rather than wave sailing. Good to get back out in port tack conditions again. Loads of big floaty jumps and fast gybes, tacks are slowly coming back after my long sojourn. Wind eventually dropped so I had a couple of walks back upwind before I called it a day.

Excellent day considering it's a mid week post work sail, I'm on a 5.2 and it's sunny and it's North Cornwall.
